Privacy Policy – Island Words – Caribbean Word Search

Island Words – Caribbean Word Search ("Island Words", "the app", "we") is a word-search puzzle game published by Barclay Suites. This policy explains what information the app does and does not collect.

The short version

• Island Words is an offline game. All 2,160 puzzles are stored inside the app and it plays fully without an internet connection.
• There is no account, no sign-in, and no registration.
• Your progress (stars, coins, daily-puzzle streak) and your settings (sound, display options such as large text and board zoom, relax mode, and your chosen difficulty) are saved only on your device using the app's local storage. We never receive it.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• If ads are shown, they are served by Google AdMob, which may collect certain device information as described below. You are asked for consent where the law requires it.

Information stored on your device

The game saves your progress and preferences (for example puzzle stars and best scores for each difficulty, in-game coins, your chosen difficulty, sound settings, display settings such as large text, board zoom and the island map or list view, relax mode, and your daily-puzzle streak) in the app's local storage on your device. This data never leaves your device and we cannot see it. You can erase it at any time by clearing the app's storage in Android Settings or uninstalling the app.

Information we collect

We do not operate any servers that receive data from the app, and we do not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, files, microphone, camera, or precise location.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

The app may show ads provided by Google AdMob (Google LLC). To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and use information from your device, such as:

• Advertising ID (a resettable identifier you can reset or delete in Android Settings)
• IP address (from which approximate location may be derived)
• Device and app information (device model, operating system version, app name and version, language)
• Ad interactions and app diagnostics (such as impressions, clicks and crash/performance data)

This information is collected and processed by Google under Google's Privacy Policy and the How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services page. We do not receive your personal data from AdMob; we only see aggregated ad reports.

Your consent and choices

• In regions where the law requires it (for example the European Economic Area, United Kingdom and some other jurisdictions), the app shows a consent message using Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) the first time it runs. Ads that use personal data are only requested if you consent. You can change your choice later from the app's privacy options where offered, or by clearing the app's data.
• You can reset your Advertising ID or opt out of ad personalization in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.
• You can remove ads by purchasing the optional Remove Ads one-time purchase, when it is available. After that, no ads are requested.
• The game continues to work normally if you decline consent or if ads are unavailable.

In-app purchases

Optional purchases (such as Remove Ads) are processed by Google Play. We do not receive your payment card details. Google handles payments under its own terms and privacy policy.

Children's privacy

Island Words is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us at barclaysuite@gmail.com and we will help resolve it. Ads shown in the app are not intended for a child-directed audience.

Data security and retention

Because progress is stored only on your device, its safety depends on your device's security. We hold no personal data about you. Data processed by Google AdMob is retained according to Google's policies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data. Since we do not hold any personal data about you, there is nothing for us to delete. To exercise rights regarding data held by Google (AdMob), use Google's privacy controls or contact Google directly.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be reflected in the app's Google Play listing and in this document.
